Day 1 Beijing Arrival
Hello, welcome to China! After touching down in Beijing, you will be picked up and transfer to your luxurious hotel. The rest of the day is for you to counteract jet lag or to get a glimpse of what today’s Chinese capital was like on your own.

Day 2 Temple of Heaven, Forbidden City
The imposing architectural complex of Temple of Heavenwas the places where Ming and Qing Dynasty monarchs prayed to heaven for a long reign, a stable society and a prosperous country. Take a Taiji lesson at Temple of Heaven.
Visit Panjiayuan Market if it is a weekend, where you can see a dazzling array of Chinese antiques.
Come to the Tiananmen Square, the heart of Beijing, and China. It is an important witness of many historical events, including the founding of New China. Then have an in-depth visit of Palace Museum, known as Forbidden City in ancient times. The lavishly adorned home of Ming and Qing emperors and their concubines is housing rich Chinese cultural and artistic treasures. When the sun sets, climb up Jingshan Hill that gives a panorama of Forbidden City.
Savor Beijing Roast Duck for dinner(optional).

Day 3 The Great Wall, Beijing Hutongs
Wonder at the Mutianyu Section of Great Wall, which is one of the best-kept parts, relatively easy to hike and free of crowds. It is an ancient miracle in world architecture history and one of the human heritages. When standing on the mountaintop Great Wall, you can also take in the magnificent landscape of Northern China.
Take a rickshaw ride through hutongs to experience traditional Beijing culture. For in the know travelers, the maze of hutongs is where to explore the real Beijing. Each of the hutong alleys has its own legendary stories.

Day 4 Summer Palace, Beijing to Luoyang
Enjoy morning hours in Summer Palace, including a relaxing boat cruise. The garden for Qing Dynasty royal family to cool off in summer, Summer Palace is the best classic Chinese garden, incorporating Wanshou Hill, Kunming Lake and exquisitely-designed architectural complex.
Ride a high speed train from Beijing to Luoyang. Luoyang was one of the cradles of Chinese civilization and the capital of ancient China for 1500 years or so.

Day 5 Luoyang to Dengfeng to Luoyang, Shaolin Temple
You will be driven to Dengfeng, where the famous Shaolin Temple is located.With history dating to 495, Shaolin Temple is the first Zen Buddhist temple in China and the place of origin of Chinese martial arts.
Visit the Pagoda Forest of Shaolin Temple, the largest ancient pagoda complex in the world. The over 200 pagodas are tombs of eminent Shaolin monks from Tang Dynasty to Qing Dynasty. Then enjoy a Shaolin Kungfu Show – the real Kung Fu with amazing moves.
Drive back to Luoyang.

Day 6 White Horse Temple, Longmen Grottoes, Luoyang to Xian
Visit China’s earliest Buddhist temple – White Horse Temple, with a history of over 1900 years. Most of the extant Buddha statues and cultural relics are dating to Yuan Dynasty. Then experience the Chinese rock carving art at Longmen Grottoes that was continually constructed from the 5th Century to early 10th Century. Today, you can still discover 2,345 grottoes, more than 100,000 statues and 2,800 inscriptions inside Longmen Grottoes.
Take bullet train from Luoyang to Xian. Xian was the capital of ancient China for over 1100 years (some say 1300 years).

Day 7 Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses, Muslim Quarter, Xian Great Mosque
Explore the biggest military museum of ancient China – the Terra-cotta Warriors Museum. It was constructed based on the three excavated pits of the Terracotta Army of ancient China’s first feudal emperor. Terracotta Army is regarded as one of the greatest discoveries in the history of archaeology in the twentieth century.
Later discover a diverse range of street foods on the Muslim Quarter. And visit the Great Mosque of Xian. Muslim people settled in Xian since Tang Dynasty and have been living harmoniously with local Han people. Together they built this grand beautiful mosque with both Chinese architectural style and Islamic architectural style.
Taste different flavors of dumpling for dinner and enjoy the night show of Tang Dynasty Music and Dance.

Day 8 Xian City Highlights, Xian to Shanghai
Ride a bike (optional) leisurely and freely on the Old City Wall of Xian, as long as 13.74km, to see the majestic ancient gates and towers that make a contrast against Xian’s modernization.
Visit the Shaanxi History Museum to be deeply embraced by thousand years of Chinese history. Learn the social process of ancient China from prehistoric period to Qing Dynasty, and see numerous valuable cultural relics. Then go to the Ci’en Temple, where the Big Wild Goose Pagoda is located. This Tang Dynasty pagoda is the iconic landmark of ancient Xian and one of the earliest and most important Buddhist architectures in China.
Fly to Shanghai, the economic center of New China but with traditions dating to hundreds of years ago.

Day 9 Shanghai City Highlights, The Bund & Yu Garden
Experience the splendid ancient Chinese art at the Shanghai Museum, where there are over 120,000 valuable cultural relics are on display. Later visit Ming Dynasty Yu Garden, one of the finest traditional Chinese gardens in South China. And explore the bustling food & snack center and the enticing old streets of Shanghai in Town God Temple area.
Thereafter, walk through the Bund to see the striking colonial architectures and Shanghai’s modern iconic landmarks across Huangpu River. Ascend the observation deck of Shanghai World Financial Center, one of the highest buildings in Shanghai, to see the New China from the air.

Relax at hotel, until your guide and driver escort you to the airport. It is the end of the tour itinerary.
