Upon arrival, you will see your private tour guide waiting for you at the arrival hall holding a sign with your name written on it. Then you will be transfer to Huangshan International Hotel and assisted with check in. Get yourself ready and rest well for tomorrow’s journey.

Yellow Mountain

After having breakfast at the hotel, you will set out to a journey of Hongcun and an off-beaten path nearby. Begin at Hongcun, which sets against the forest green backdrop, your guide will bring you through the history of this ancient village as you scroll down the slender lanes and appreciate the charm of those white-washed residences. Then, we will go on to an off-beaten path near the village and begin our adventure from Hongcun to Xidi. The trek starts from Qishu lake reservoir to Chinese duck valley. The journey is around 9km and will take you about 3 hours long to finish the journey. In the past, this is the main road for students from south of Huizhou to travel to the north, and also the path for villagers to travel between two villages (Hongcun and Xidi). On your way, you will discover few villages remain their traditional ways of life in the face of globalisation. At the end of the day, you will be transfer to Pig's Inn Bishan, which is near Xidi.

Ancient village near Huangshan

Dip your chopsticks into Huizhou cuisine prepared by hotel before travel to Huangshan Scenic Area. Shuttle bus at mountain foot will bring you to Yungu temple. Ascend the back mountain via Yungu cable car to White Goose Ridge Station. Main highlight of the day is West Sea Grand Canyon, but also not to miss those twisted pines and bizarre rocks on your way. You will pass Black Tiger Pine, and ‘Flower Blooming on a Brush Tip’ stone. Black Tiger Pine, one of the top ten famous pines in Huangshan, is said to be looking like a black tiger lying on the slope. Use your imagination and you may see it as other objects. Also, do spot this granite formation topped splendidly with a pine tree on your way, that’s the ‘Flower Blooming on a Brush Tip’ stone.

Then dip into West Sea Grand Canyon that will lead you to a different kind of paradise. You will discover more unearthly views of Huangshan from a lovely perspective. Mist-filled valley is the habitat of more than 300 species. Sometimes you can hear chirping of birds echoing the valley. And if you are lucky enough, you may spot some Huangshan macaques swinging from branches to branches. Arrive First Ring and Second Ring to have some splendid views into the valley, before a thigh-juddering climb back to Cloud Dispelling Pavilion. Remember to bring enough water and stay hydrated all time. Then check in at Beihai Hotel.

Wake up early in the morning to catch the sunrise around 5-6 am in the morning on Lion Peak. Then return to hotel for breakfast before descend the mountain. Going down from the back mountain, you will view the scenery on a different angle. On the way down, we will hike up to Beginning-to-Believe Peak. With elevation of 1680m, it is one of the popular peaks for stunning view across lonely, mist-encased peaks and also one of the best places to view the sunrise. Take a shuttle bus from Yungu temple to hot spring area on Huangshan. Then dip yourself into the natural hot spring which is rich in minerals and is beneficial to our health. Relax your muscles after this long hike and enjoy a moment of tranquillity before we take a 1.5 hour drive to Tunxi Old Street. Lined with Ming-dynasty Huizhou style buildings, the street is pleasant for an evening stroll. Lastly, we will transfer you safely to airport or station.
