When you arrive in Shanghai, your private guide and driver will accompany you from the airport to the hotel. The guide will give you some brief introduction of Shanghai on the way and take care of the hotel check-in. Rest in the hotel for the rest of the day.

After breakfast, get some fresh air and refresh your body by doing some morning exercises in Fuxing Park. Continue your tour to French Concession and wander at the tree-lined avenues. It also has the most advanced residential area in old Shanghai.

Then the guide will show you to a classic Jiangnan man-made garden, Yuyuan Garden. Here you will see the ancient trees, pavilions, corridors, windows and artificial hills. Nearby is the City God Temple, where local people worship the guardian of the city.

Today’s tour will end with an overlook of the whole city and the Bund on the top of Shanghai Tower.

Learn about the living history of Jewish refugees in Shanghai during World War II at Shanghai Jewish Refugees Museum with the guide’s explanation. See the old buildings at Former Site of Jewish Refugees Shelter and pay a visit to White House Inn, opened by a Jewish refugee couple. It functions as a restaurant, bar and night club, thus becoming a gathering place for the Jewish refugees at that time. The morning tour ends at Former Site of American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC), once the most important international organization supporting Jewish refugees from Europe.

After lunch, go to Huoshan Park, once a major recreational place for Jewish refugees who sought sanctuary in Shanghai during World War II. Take a leisure walk and feel the breeze at the Bund.

Conceived and created by a Jewish businessman, Shanghai Fairmont Peace Hotel is a landmark building in Shanghai. Do not miss the Peace Museum in the hotel, where you could see the precious silver utensils, porcelain, crystal ornaments and antiques.
