In Lhasa you’ll see the bluest sky and brightest sunshine in the world. You’ll experience prayer as local Tibetans sing melodious folksongs, while prayer flags dance with the wind. Day 1 Lhasa arrival
Welcome to the roof of the world! Your guide will pick you up at the Lhasa airport upon your arrival. The rest of the day is free for you to adjust to the highland.

Day 2 Sera Monastery, Norbulinka,Tibet Museum
Today is your first day of discovering the highland. We packed three attractions for the day requiring minimal physical effort. Sera Monastery is one of Lhasa’s three largest monasteries and is the place where Buddhist maters preach. There are thousands of sculptures of Buddha, some of which are from India. The various vivid murals will tell you a story about Tibetan Buddhism. Monks debate is a unique style of learning Buddhist knowledge. It is held every day and makes visiting Sera Monastery more interesting. Lunch is later arranged in a local fine restaurant after which a visit to Norbulinka will be made. Norbulinka is a place to go to appreciate Tibetan-style gardens. It has a history of more than 200 years. It is presently built as a botanic garden made up of precious flowers and plants only found there and several historical architectures. Tibet Museum is located southeast of Norbulinka. You can learn about Tibetan history from more than one thousand historical relics, including sculptures of Buddha, Thangka, Tibetan musical instruments, and unique Tibetan handcrafts. Make sure your well rested in preparation for tomorrow’s physical activities.

Day 3 Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street
Today starts with the visiting most popular site in Lhasa called Potala Palace. It is a castle-like complex built in traditional Tibetan style. There are many precious treasures in this palace, including Buddhist items and invaluable historical materials written in Tibetan language. The palace is representative of Tibetan architecture and has become a symbol of Tibet. After lunch at a local restaurant, a visit to Barkhor Street will take place. Barkhor Street is a circumambulation road surrounding Jokhang Temple and an area of traditional Tibetan dwellings. Try not to be surprised by the locals you come across. There are numerous stalls selling Tibetan handcrafts. Take a look and bargain for your favorites.
Jokhang Temple has a history of more than 1,300 years. The existing temple was built in more than 1,200 years ago. Hence the architecture there is a great highlight. The exquisite carvings and Buddha sculptures should not be missed.

Day 4 Sacred Yamdrok Lake, Palkor Chode
Let’s get outside of Lhasa to explore highlights in Shigatse. Shigatse is about 6 hours from Lhasa. Halfway on the trip you will stop to admire Lake Yamdrok. It is one of the three holy lakes in Tibet and has a tranquil beauty. You can take a walk next to the lake and sense the power of nature. A picnic lunch is arranged by the Lake. You’ll continue riding to Palkor Chode, which is a monastery combined with Sakya, Kadam, and Gelug schools. You’ll stay at the best hotel in Shigatse for the night.

Day 5 Tashilhunpo Monastery
The main attraction of Shigatse is the Tashilhunpo Monastery. It is the largest in the area and one of six Shamanism monasteries in China. The most magnificent architecture in the Monastery is the big Maitreya Hall and Panchen Lama Stupa Hall. Built on the mountain, there is a Knutsford to unfold giant Buddha’s portrait on every Buddhist festival. On the right side of the Monastery you can find a small hospital where you can see how locals get medical treatment. Lunch will be provided after which you’ll be escorted back to Lhasa.

Day 6 Lhasa departure
Your guide and driver will meet you at the hotel lobby and transport you to the airport for your next destination.
