If you only have four days to explore Fujian, how can you make the most of your time and fully experience its allure? This guide will provide you with a detailed itinerary for an unforgettable four-day trip, ensuring that you can explore Fujian to the fullest without missing out on its wonders.

4 Days Fujian Itinerary for Family with Kids

Day 1: Experience the historic streets

Start your journey in Fuzhou. Wander through Three Lanes and Seven Alleys, immersing yourself in its antique charm while discovering the historic celebrities residences of historical figures hidden along the lanes. Then visit Wushan to explore the cliffside stone inscriptions scattered throughout the area. In the evening, enjoy a fireworks show at the "Heart of the Min River", followed by a river cruise to take in the breathtaking nightscape of Fuzhou.

Day 2: Visit the ancient city and village

On the second day, head to Quanzhou to explore the Quanzhou ancient city. Stroll down West Street to sample local delicacies and visit the Kaiyuan Temple. Around noon, hike up Qingyuan Mountain for a panoramic view of Quanzhou nestled among lush hills and historic sites. In the afternoon, visit the Xunpu fishing village to witness the traditional oyster shell houses. In the evening, continue your journey back to Xiamen.

Follow the coastal road northward to photo the stone houses in Beigang Village and the dark reef rocks of Jingsha. Day 4: Explore the culture and exoticism

Sleep in for a leisure morning and then return to Fuzhou. After having lunch, you can visit either Guling or Gushan. Guling has picturesque natural scenery dotted with Western-style villas, and you can take in panoramic views of Fuzhou on the Jiahu Yuecheng Corridor. Gushan, a hallmark of Fuzhou's landscape, is home to many historic sites, with the famed Yongquan Temple drawing many worshippers.

Day 4: Meet the traditional buildings

Head to Yunshuiyao Ancient Town in Nanjing to admire thousand-year-old banyan trees and traditional tulous, walking along the cobblestone streets. Then drive to Taxia Village to visit the famous Tianluokeng Tulou Cluster. Step inside the tulous and experience the close-knit community life and customs within these unique structures.
