7 Days Kunming, Dali, Lijiang, Shangri-La Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Kunming and check into your hotel. Spend the day exploring the city and visiting Green Lake Park and the Flower and Bird Market.

Day 2: Kunming to Dali and spend the day visiting the ancient town of Dali and the Three Pagodas.

Day 3: Dail to Lijiang and spend the day exploring the Old Town and visiting the Black Dragon Pool.

Day 4: Lijiang, Tiger Leaping Gorge and hike the trail for a stunning view of the gorge and the Jinsha River.

Day 5: Lijiang to Shangri-La (Zhongdian) and spend the day visiting the Songzanlin Monastery and the Ganden Sumtseling Monastery.

Day 6: Shangri-La, Pudacuo National Park and spend the day exploring the park and visiting the Shudu Lake.

Day 2: Dali to Shaxi 1 night

Drive from Dali to Shaxi Ancient Town, which is about a three-hour drive. Visit the Shaxi Ancient Town, which is a well-preserved ancient town on the Tea Horse Road. Explore the Sideng Street, the Xingjiao Temple, and the ancient theater. Stayover 1 night in Shaxi Ancient Town.

Day 3: Shaxi to Lijiang 2 nights

Drive from Shaxi to Lijiang, which is about a four-hour drive. Explore the Lijiang Old Town, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its traditional architecture and winding streets. Visit the Mu Palace, the Black Dragon Pool, and the Dongba Culture Museum.

Day 4: Lijiang to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain

Take a day trip to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, which is about an hour's drive from Lijiang. Ride a cable car to the mountain's summit and enjoy the stunning views. Visit the Yak Meadow and the Blue Moon Valley.

Day 5: Lijiang to Shangri-La 2 nights

Travel from Lijiang to Shangri-La, which is about a four-hour drive. Explore the Songzanlin Monastery, which is the largest Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Yunnan Province. Visit the Pudacuo National Park, which is known for its stunning natural scenery.
