5-day Sanya Itinerary for Family with Kids

Day 1: Arrival and Seaside Relaxation

After landing, you will be met by our friendly guide. Along with the driver, the guide will escort you to your hotel. Enjoy some free time to rest and recover from your journey.

Head to Coconut Dream Corridor (Yemeng Promenade) to enjoy sweeping sea views, gentle ocean breezes, and a beautiful coastal sunset. It is a perfect introduction to Sanya’s laid-back island atmosphere.

Day 2: Nanshan Buddhism Culture and Yacht Experience

In the morning, visit Nanshan Temple, one of the most important Buddhist sites in southern China. Admire the magnificent 108-meter-tall Guanyin of the South Sea, and take part in a blessing ritual while learning about Buddhist culture and philosophy.

In the afternoon, enjoy a yacht cruise along the Sanya coastline, offering panoramic views of the sea and a relaxing way to experience Sanya’s maritime lifestyle.

Day 3: Ethnic Heritage, Scenic Viewpoints, and Night Show

In the morning, explore Binglanggu Li and Miao Cultural Heritage Park, where you can discover the traditions of Hainan’s indigenous ethnic groups, including traditional architecture, weaving, music, and dance performances.

Later, visit Luhuitou Scenic Area, known for its beautiful coastal views and romantic legend.

In the afternoon, visit Binglanggu Li and Miao Cultural Heritage Park. Watch Li ethnic grandmothers weave traditional brocade, enjoy cultural performances, participate in interactive activities such as bamboo pole dancing, and sample authentic Li-style cuisine. Return to downtown Sanya in the evening for a recommended coconut chicken hotpot dinner.

Day 4: Yalong Bay Beach and Wuzhizhou Island Adventure

In the morning, spend a relaxing morning at Yalong Bay, one of China’s most beautiful beaches. Walk along the soft sandy shoreline, take photos, or relax at a beachfront café.

In the afternoon, head to Wuzhizhou Island, a hotspot for water sports. Choose one or two optional activities such as jet skiing or flyboarding, depending on energy levels. Enjoy additional free time for beach relaxation, island exploration, or photography.

The scenic area is quite large, so taking the electric sightseeing cart is highly recommended. Explore Nanshan Temple, blessing sites, and enjoy sweeping ocean views.

Day 3: Tianya Haijiao and Tianya Town

In the afternoon, head to Tianya Haijiao (Approx. half hour’s drive), is one of the city’s most iconic landmarks. Stroll along the coast, see the famous engraved boulders, and enjoy the romantic atmosphere.

Day 4: Island Life and Maritime Culture

Take a boat to West Island, a long-established fishing community with a strong maritime culture. Wander through narrow lanes lined with century-old coral stone houses and observe the daily life of local fishermen. The island’s relaxed atmosphere offers a glimpse into traditional coastal living.

If time allows and the tide is low, experience shore foraging, a traditional activity where locals search for crabs and shellfish along the reef.

Day 5: Binglang Ethnic village

In the morning, visiting Binglang Ethnic Village, a cultural and heritage attraction. Through the Ganshi Li Village and Guyin Miao Village, the park showcases the daily life, traditional architecture, and customs of Li and Miao ethnic groups.

Return to downtown Sanya in the afternoon for leisure time, local shopping, or a final seaside walk before departure.
