Taiyuan

Taiyuan, historically known as Jinyang, is the capital of Shanxi Province and located in the northern part of the Jinzhong Basin in central Shanxi. Covering an area of 6,988 square kilometers, Taiyuan is surrounded by mountains on three sides, with the Fen River, the second largest tributary of the Yellow River, flowing from north to south. Taiyuan has long been known as the "Splendid Taiyuan City". It is the political, economic, cultural, and international exchange center of Shanxi Province and a significant military and cultural hub in northern China, recognized as an excellent tourist city.

As a national historical and cultural city with over 2,000 years of history, Taiyuan boasts numerous ancient landmarks. Jinci Temple Garden is a dazzling gem of Chinese culture; Lingxiao Twin Pagodas are exemplary of China's twin-tower architecture; Longshan Grottoes are China's largest Taoist stone caves; and the Mengshan Giant Buddha rivals the Leshan Giant Buddha in grandeur. Datong

Datong is one of China's first batch of National Historical and Cultural Cities and is among the nine great ancient capitals of China. The city boasts a rich array of ancient relics, including the Yungang Grottoes, the Ancient City of Datong, Northern Mount Heng, the Datong section of the Great Wall, the Xuankong Temple, and the Nine-Dragon Wall, which is supported by the National Cultural Heritage Administration as a "City of Museums". Recently, Datong has gained unprecedented attention due to its role as a photographing location for the popular game Black Myth: Wukong, that has injected fresh vitality into the ancient cultural city.

Xinzhou

Xinzhou, historically known as "Xiurong", is located in the north-central part of Shanxi Province. Encompassing an area of 25,000 square kilometers, it is the largest city by area in the province. Xinzhou's landscape is bordered by the Great Wall to the north, the Yellow River to the west, the Taihang Mountains to the east, and Shiling Pass to the south.

By the Ming and Qing dynasties, Jinzhong had flourished into a thriving center of trade and commerce creating the commercial miracle across 9,000 miles throughout Eurasia and dominance around 500-year, known as the Jin Merchant culture.

Jinzhong is rich in cultural and historical treasures, with numerous ancient relics and vibrant natural resources. The UNESCO World Heritage Site, Pingyao Ancient City, is a prime example of its cultural legacy.
