In the evening, you will arrive in Taiyuan City and seek for the dazzling array of delicious local delicacies at a night market.

Visit the Shanxi Museum to learn about the glorious history and rich culture of the land of the Sanjin in the morning, and then try Shanxi's signature dish, knife-cut noodles. In the afternoon, take photos with the Yongzuo Temple, one of Shanxi's iconic landmarks.

Day 1: Enjoy the Highlight of the Ancient City

Take a high-speed train from Taiyuan to Pingyao to explore the ancient city of Pingyao. You can also catch a ceremonial performance at the county Yamen to feel the pulse of everyday life in ancient times. Of course, the night scenery of the old town is another highlight.
