The answer is during China's busiest holidays and Taiwan's rainy season! The busiest holidays are: Labor Day (May 1-5, 2024), summer vacation (July and August each year), and National Day (October 1-7, 2024). The main reasons are that there are many tourists, travel costs are significantly higher than usual, and you have to wait in long lines at various places, such as attractions and restaurants. The most unbearable part is the long wait for bathrooms, which can be quite challenging.
