The restaurant is small, but it’s the busiest spot on the street. With a clean and well-kept Tibetan-style storefront, it’s a very popular yak meat hotpot restaurant.
Signature Dishes: Yak meat hotpot, barley cakes, butter tea, matsutake chicken hotpot, yak yogurt, and saffron sprouts.

Top 2: The Silent Holy Stones / 静静的嘛呢石藏餐
The Silent Holy Stones is a restaurant run by local Tibetans.The name of this restaurant is the same as a Tibetan film title. The environment is modest, but the service is warm and welcoming. The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable, making it one of the more popular dining spots in the area.
Signature Dishes: Tibetan-style meat pies, yak meat hotpot, homemade yogurt, grilled mushrooms, twice-cooked potatoes, butter tea, Kham-style steak, Amdo-style buns, Pipa meat, and mixed vegetable salad.

Top 3: Yin Tong Yak Hot Pot Place / 银同牦牛肉火锅
The restaurant with a carved wooden doorway exuding a rustic charm, this highly-rated, long-established restaurant offers a distinctive dining experience. It was previously called Yin Tong Snack Shop, but it has now been renamed Yin Tong Yak Hot Pot Place. Although the name has changed, the taste remains the same. The hostess is warm and trustworthy, the menu is diverse and flavorful, and the prices are reasonable.
Signature Dishes: Butter tea, barley cakes, yak meat hotpot, highland rainbow potatoes, and matsutake chicken hotpot.

The restaurant is small but offers warm and friendly service. Located in Dukezong Ancient Town, it specializes in Tibetan-style yak hot pot. The yak meat is fresh, tender, and chewy. They also serve delicious dishes like Tibetan fragrant pork and black mountain goat, all of which are worth trying.
